MRI Scan

MRI Scan

Our medical center offers both open and closed MRI scanning services, providing comfortable and detailed imaging tailored to each patient's needs.

MRI Scan

Our medical center provides MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) services with both open and conventional closed scanners, tailored to each patient's needs. Our open MRI offers a spacious examination environment for patients who feel uneasy in enclosed spaces, while our closed MRI is preferred for high-resolution detailed imaging.

Open MRI

Open MRI is an advanced imaging system that uses magnetic resonance imaging technology but features an open and spacious design rather than the conventional tunnel-shaped structure. Unlike traditional MRI machines, open MRI scanners are designed with an open top or wide side openings. This allows patients to complete the examination without feeling the discomfort of being in an enclosed space.

When is Open MRI Preferred?

  • Patients who experience claustrophobia
  • Individuals who require more space than conventional MRI machines provide
  • Elderly patients and children with limited mobility
  • Patients in pain who have difficulty staying still for extended periods

Advantages of Open MRI

Spacious Design for Claustrophobic Patients

Our open MRI scanner provides a comfortable imaging environment with its wide-open design, especially for patients with claustrophobia.

High-Resolution Imaging

The advanced open MRI scanner used at our medical center delivers high-resolution, detailed images that support accurate diagnosis.

A Quieter, More Comfortable Experience

Compared to traditional MRI machines, open MRI produces less noise and allows patients to feel more at ease during the examination.

Suitable for Children and Elderly Patients

The open design offers a clear advantage for patients with limited mobility and children; when needed, a relative can stay close to the patient during the procedure.

Solution for Patients Who Need Additional Space

Thanks to its airy design, open MRI is a suitable alternative for patients who have difficulty with conventional machines.

Flexible Positioning

Our open MRI scanner enables imaging in more flexible positions, which is a significant advantage particularly for patients with orthopedic conditions.

Closed MRI

Closed MRI is a high-field magnetic resonance scanner with the conventional tunnel-shaped design. Thanks to its strong magnetic field, it provides higher-resolution images in shorter examination times and is preferred for the evaluation of fine anatomical structures and small lesions.

When is Closed MRI Preferred?

  • Brain, spine, and cardiac examinations requiring high resolution
  • Neurological evaluations involving fine anatomical structures
  • Detailed vascular imaging
  • Routine MRI examinations with standard indications

Advantages of Closed MRI

High Magnetic Field Strength

Our closed MRI scanner produces high-clarity images of fine anatomical details thanks to its stronger magnetic field.

Shorter Examination Time

The higher field strength enables high-quality imaging in a shorter period, reducing examination duration compared to open MRI.

Wide Range of Examinations

Closed MRI is suitable for a broad range of examinations, particularly in neurology, cardiology, oncology, and the musculoskeletal system.

Choosing Between Open and Closed MRI

The choice of scanner is determined according to the indication evaluated by the physician and the patient's condition. Open MRI is a suitable option for patients who experience claustrophobia, require additional space, or have limited mobility; examinations requiring high-resolution detailed imaging are performed with our closed MRI scanner. Both scanners are available at our medical center.

What Conditions Can Be Evaluated with MRI?

MRI is used to diagnose a wide range of conditions across different parts of the body. Common applications include:

Brain and Nervous System

  • Brain tumors
  • Stroke and cerebral hemorrhages
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Nerve compressions

Musculoskeletal System

  • Spinal conditions (herniation, scoliosis, degenerative changes)
  • Joint inflammation and injuries
  • Bone tumors

Cardiovascular System

  • Vascular blockages
  • Heart muscle conditions

Internal Organ Imaging

  • Masses in the liver, kidneys, and other organs
  • Digestive system conditions
